A quick word about Satellite phones.

Satellite phones are an excellent communication tool when out of normal GSM range.
They transmit to satellites that are either travelling at 26,000kph at a height of 700km or they are over 35,000km away.
If they cannot clearly see the satellite they don't work very well. They do not work inside a house.
The call quality is at time not great but you can converse. Don't expect to have a service similar to your mobile

The Iridium 9555 will cost $1,650 including GST and delivery.

Our suggestion is to take up a Pivotel call plan, we can do this for you.

The most popular is the Pivotel 50 (basic details) $50 per month, $15 included calls, 60c per 30 seconds plus 40c flag fall, 50c per SMS

Incoming calls are no charge to you.
You can SMS any mobile or send to an email address for 50c.
The caller pays the same as calling a normal Mobile phone.

The Iridium 9575 will cost $1,950 including GST and delivery.

We sell the Ex hire 9555 for $600 (including 3 months warranty)

Re the 9575 is the same as above and it has basically the same features as the 9555, the only real major addition is the GPS send feature, this can be handy.

The outgoing call costs are a flat rate to any mobile or landline in the world.
Incoming calls are no charge to you. But expensive for the caller. You can SMS any mobile or send to an email address.

The phone has it's own email address. You can send your GPS location to any PC or Mobile.

Note: Some dealers offer cheap phone which are locked to expensive airtime packages.

You will use 1.3 units per minute and half a unit per SMS

Thuraya SatSleeve+ and Hotspot transforms your
iOS/Android Smartphone into a Satellite phone.

We have both the Satsleeve+ and the Satsleeve Hotspot for sale at $950 ready to use.

Once again Thuraya's marketing is a little incorrect.....

The Thuraya Satsleeve is a standalone satphone with it's own SIM and no keyboard. With this lastest version you connect to it via Wifi and an app, so you can now put the sleeve in a position for reception and talk via your smartphone.

The data feed is workable, but there are many things to consider with this phone. We feel the Hotspot is better than the plus, they are infact the same phone.... call us for more info.

Inmarsat IsatHub the iSavi IsatHub creates a WiFi hotspot for voice plus data speeds of 256/384kbps. All you do is take the unit outside and turn it on. Within a couple of minutes you log into the Wifi hotspot using your smartphone and make calls open a data feed.
