Long term hire. For detailed information click here http://www.epirbhire.com.au/longtermhire.htm

When an emergency beacon is activated it transmits a unique ID signal. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) requires the beacons to be registered. The registration form requires a 24 hour contact person who will be called if the beacon is activated.

The issue for all businesses is keeping these records current; Is that 24 hour contact person the current user of the beacon? If not, does the contact person have the full details of the current user? If there are multiple users of the one beacon are these records up to date and correct? In the event of an emergency will delays or lack of details hinder the rescue effort?

EPIRBhire can solve all these problems for less than $1 per day.

Long term hire of a beacon will also be tax effective. Hiring removes the capital cost of the beacon from your balance sheet.

Long term hire rates are negotiable to suit your needs. For more information click here http://www.epirbhire.com.au/longtermhire.htm

or contact Peter Davidson 0415 263 750 or peter@epirbhire.com.au for more details.

MYCOAL Body Warmers
What are they? About twice the size and look of of a large teapot bag. Three minutes after you open the plastic sachet it gets hot, yes HOT - 51 degrees C, and stays that way for 24 hours - now that was $3 well spent. Just tuck them down the front of your shirt, absolute bliss for any offshore sailor.
How do they work? The ingredients are iron powder, carbon and salt - simply put, they rust and generate heat in the process.
For more details please call or email. The cost is $30 for a pack of 10 plus delivery...
These are a must for every first aid kit for Hypothermia cases.  peter@epirbhire.com.au
The cost is $30 for a 10 pack the postage cost is the same price for a pack of 15 if you want more.

back in July 2005 Chris Bray and Clark Carter, plunged deep inside the Arctic Circle to do what no one ever had – travel unsupported across Victoria Island, the world’s ninth largest and largely unexplored island. Their route - from the most Easterly tip of the to the most Westerly – would take them past approximately 1,000km of incredibly varied terrain - they are back there now finishing what they started - click here to see more

A short note from us regarding mobile phones.
If dialling 000 please be aware that you can dial 112 from any mobile with or without reception from your particular network provider. Even if the phone is locked the phone will hunt for any other network available to get through to the 000 service. Please note at least one of the networks has to be available.

Message from NSW Ambulance Service
If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call.
Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency?
Hence this "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign.
The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As mobile phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency).
The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognised name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialling the number you have stored as "ICE".
It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest. For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc.

Places to Go When You’re Procrastinating
a great blog and an unashamed fan of Jack Marx
Hello. I’m the writer of this blog, Let’s get Ripped and Go To the Aquarium.
http://letsgetrippedandgototheaquarium.wordpress.com/ I am a person of a certain age and demographic, who chooses to waste her (sometimes endless, oftentimes scarce) free time writing words in a particular order that hopefully resembles a series of sentences, and which nine people read. On a good day. The title of this blog is something once suggested as a good idea for something to do one day.
